Black Brain is celebrating 15 years in the industry, creating kick ass long and short format content. And to mark this milestone we’ve decided to freshen up our look with a cutting edge, mind-blowing brand update.

Collaborating with top South African talent is what we’re all about, so all you designers out there, let’s get together and create some magic.

What you need to do…

1.     Create a fresh, innovative Black Brain logo using the existing logo elements and colour pallet of black, red and white. Be sure to take note of the considerations listed below.

2.     Share your logo on Instagram or facebook with the backstory of how you came up with your design in the post description.

3.     Tag @blackbrain_sa so we can see and share your logo on our platforms. Use the hashtags #blackbraincreativity #blackbraintalent #blackbrainloading #blackbrainrebrand

What you get if your design is chosen…

1.     R3000 cash

2.     Your logo becomes the new face of Black Brain. It’ll flood our social media channels, appear on all our corporate communications and be animated at the end of our series and movies.

3.     You’ll be invited to be a part of the Black Brain design team and have the opportunity to work on other exciting titles, campaigns and collateral.

Considerations:

1.     The logo needs to be original and represent the essence of the Black Brain. An award-winning, full service production house that is 100% black owned and intent on creating groundbreaking creative communications.

2.     The logo needs to be scalable and versatile:

a.     The logo needs to retain some elements of the existing logo. Our brand has been in existence for 15 years and we need to retain elements of our identity.

b.     Please use the existing colour pallet of red, white and black

c.     We would like the design to be 3D so that it can be animated.

d.     It should read well on social media platforms

e.     The logo should be able to translate into one colour to be seen on a variety of backgrounds

3.     BE UNIQUE. There are loads of stock logos and icons out there and we have all seen them a thousand times before. We want something that truly represents Black Brain Productions.
